An Essential Guide to Help Design an Efficient Ducting System for Your Home’s Comfort

1. The Ductwork Design

There are various aspects to keep in mind when designing your ductwork system. Consider critical parameters like the sun's orientation, square footage and your home's floor design. Such aspects can significantly impact your chances of achieving a good balanced airflow. When designing your ductwork, consider a straightforward route your ducts should run from your air conditioning unit and your air supply registers. Furthermore, ensure proper insulation for ducts that run through unconditioned spaces to alleviate significant energy losses. 

2. The Ductwork Sizing

5. Air Circulation

Maintaining balanced air pressure is critical when designing an efficiently working ductwork system. However, unbalanced air pressure can cause infiltration of external air, which affects the overall indoor temperature, safety and energy efficiency.
